This piece is an intimate one that is based on my life as a youth. It is about a bully who was beautiful and the epitome of maleness. In all other respects, we should have been friends. But he was cruel and mischievous towards me. Yet, at times he could be almost nice. This piece speaks to the yin and yang nature of maleness in general society. It exemplifies that one can be both physically beautiful yet dangerous. We often think because someone is the example of perfection that they are somehow nice and welcoming. This fallacy is at the heart of this piece, how we can be fooled by this complexity of character and physical dominance. This piece was made with quality paint and is on stretched canvas, the frame comes with the piece.
