This almost biomorphic character of the piece is representative of the destruction of memory in people with Alzheimer's disease. The large mass is the destruction of the cells and memory itself. The colorful marks and shapes represent many memories in an almost eternal dance around the mind. They are in constant flux trying to evade their demise. Not unlike a supernova, once they are broken apart are they really gone or do they live on in a reconstituted way? That is the question this piece is asking and asking you to ponder. This piece is made with quality paints and is on stretched canvas. It was made with acrylic, oil pastels, and graphite. This is a gallery wrapped canvas. This is part of my Alzheimer Series.
