This artwork is inspired by the Sonoran Desert. It is a world that is full of dichotomous relationships. The natural push and pull of the environment soft, hard, bright, earthy, dark, light, rugged, smooth this tension brings this mysterious world to life. In my painting, the gesturation and color treatment evoke the lively sands of this unusual world. You can feel the energy and quiet whispers of the shadows of the past as the light illuminates the surface of the painting.
