This piece is being currently exhibited and won't be available for shipping until the three month run time ends. The artwork conjures up the magical moment when this serene lake environment is bewitched by the rolling fog and the dance of the Louisiana moonlight. This seemingly peaceful image that feels so safe and almost mythological lures you into a space of complacency. Yet, in the clay gray of the warm surface of the lake gliding like a ballerina is the great alligator. In the brush along the banks of the lake going for their nightly stroll are the many snakes. Nearby, the spiders in their nightly swings pushing to and fro. This imagery is the embodiment of the Louisiana landscape. Beautiful and enchanting yet dangerous. This constant yen and yang of the landscape of this complex and rich state typifies the complex nature of it's people and the world they inhabit.
