Synaptic Ghosts-Abstract Art

This artwork beckons the inner most parts of memory and the mind. It is the moment when something is there and then it is not. Yet, the remanent of something still remains. A glimpse of what was. This ghostly affect is felt by the nebula like clouds dancing around one another in an eternal mysterious struggle. A constant push and pull. This force pulling things from beyond and pushing it back into the void. In Alzheimer patients, this tug of war is seen in moments when they are lost between memories. The mind struggles to find or pull forth the memory requested. This almost purgatory like space is the focal point of this piece. The work was made with quality paints and is on stretched canvas.
