Synaptic storm is a culmination of the electrical impulses experienced by Alzheimer patients. The painting reflects the ongoing process of memory development as well as the degradation of existing memories. This painting reflects a snap shot if you will of the moment of these two diametrically opposed forces. Each tugging and pulling for dominance yet neither gaining domination. These creative and destructive forces are the nexus of the experience at the cellular level for Alzheimer patients. Which can be felt on the emotional and psychological level most acutely. This piece is now back from exhibition and is for sale.
