This artwork derives from the Greek Mythology of the Centaur. The nature of the Centaur is raw and primal. It lives in the moment and seeks out the adrenaline rush. Not unlike the Centaur we as humans have a raw and primal side. It is often cloaked by our societal expectations. But underneath lives a Centaur in each of us. A creature bent on capturing every moment of every experience. In a certain way, it can be equated to our desire for life and the things that make us happy. Often these things are simple and natural. This internal struggle within ourselves between the primal and the sophisticated is in a constant race for dominance. One never knows which will win out in the end.
