Here is a little bit about my artwork. In the South, azaleas are particularly common and typify Southern living. They represent the gentility, sophistication, yet earthiness of the people that they smile upon. This vibrant and delicate flower bursts into bloom at the start of the Spring season. Street after street filled with their majesty. Despite their fragile appearance they are hardy and resilient. This is not unlike the people of Southern Louisiana. They are a people with a varied and complex past. Tested and weather beaten by the climate and society they inhabit. This painting was made with quality paints and is on stretched canvas.
